We had seven people at September’s Book Club Meeting. We discussed A Rule Against Murder by Louise Penny. I think we all agreed that this was a good read. Maybe there were some holes in the plot, but it was still a satisfying whodunit. If you like mysteries set in exotic places like French Canada and an interesting cast of characters, then I recommend this book. Be warned that this is not the first book in the series. Start with Still Life if you like to read a series from beginning to end.

Other books that people were reading:

The Distant Hours by Kate Morton

books by Barbara Pym

It is time to pick next year’s book selections! If you have a title that you would like to suggest, let Gina know (ggibbons@bplmo.org or 314-963-8630.)  I will put together a master list and we will vote for next year’s titles in December.
