Book Connections

Looking for more ways to explore the world of children’s and young adult books? Find read-along audiobook performances, meet your favorite authors, and create new reading lists for your TBR pile. You can create an account or sign in with your library card from home.

Get all the information and the most current recommendations before making a decision or purchase with Consumer Reports.

Creativebug-– Access thousands of award-winning art & craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists. A Brentwood library card is needed to access this source outside of the library. You will need to create a free account to view the classes.

EBSCOhost
EBSCOhost offers a variety of full text and popular magazine, newspaper articles, and reference books ranging from general to specific topics.

ERIC – the Education Resources Information Center
ERIC is an online digital library of education research and information. ERIC provides ready access to education literature to support the use of educational research and information to improve practice in learning, teaching, educational decision-making, and research.

A variety of resources for your genealogical research.

Learning Express Library
The LearningExpress Library Database contains access to many online practice tests such as the ACT, SAT, HiSET, GED, law enforcement, real estate licensure, and many more.

Missouri Digital Heritage
Access millions of records from the state library, state archives, and other institutions.

The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal

Free daily passes to The New York Times digital newspaper. Free 3 day passes to the Wall Street Journal online. Click for detailed instructions on grabbing your passes. Bookmark your library account access page and you can easily renew your pass every day. Passes work for the NYT mobile app, but not for the WSJ app.

A national business and residential directory that has advanced tools for marketing and research. Available from home with a valid Brentwood library card.

St. Louis Post Dispatch Collection
Search more than 30 years of St. Louis area history with the St. Louis Post Dispatch Collection.  Coverage from 1988 through today, including full-text, web-only content and full-color image edition. A Brentwood library card is needed to access the site outside the library.

USA.gov is an easy-to-search, free-access website designed to give you a centralized place to find information from U.S. local, state, and federal government agency websites.

WorldCat
