When does Summer Reading Club begin?

The 2024 Summer Reading Club starts May 13 and ends on August 31. Pre-registration is open now through the Beanstack app.

What is Summer Reading Club?

Summer Reading Club is a fun reading challenge for children, teens, and adults. Participants can easily track their reading through the Beanstack app. Download the Beanstack Tracker app from your phone’s app store, or visit brentwoodlibrarymo.beanstack.org.

Prefer to track your reading on paper? Visit the Brentwood Public Library and pick up a paper starting May 13.

Early Readers and Children’s challenge = Read or be read to for 600 minutes (10 hours)

Teen and Adult Challenge = Read 5 books


What can I win?

Everyone who completes their reading challenge will receive a prize bag and be entered into a grand prize drawing. Winners will be announced after August 31.

Early Readers prize bag (ages 0-6) – Egg shaker instrument, 2 small snack packs, door hanger, games sheet, bookmark, coupon for free item from Raising Cane’s, coupon for free item from Andy’s Frozen Custard, and a Cardinals ticket (while supplies last).

Children’s prize bag (ages 7-12) – multi-colored pen, 2 small snack packs, bookmark, door hanger, games sheet, coupon for free item from Raising Cane’s, coupon for free item from Andy’s Frozen Custard, and Cardinals ticket (while supplies last).

Teens prize bag (ages 13-17) – multi-colored pen, plush keychain, 2 small snack packs, bookmark, door hanger, coupon for free item from Raising Cane’s, coupon for free item from Andy’s Frozen Custard, and Cardinals ticket (while supplies last).

Adult prize (18+) = Metal camping mug and decal.

Join us on Monday, May 13 for our Summer Reading Club Kick-Off Party with the Red & Black Brass Band.

All ages are welcome to attend. This event is free and no registration is required.

Held at the newly constructed Brentwood Park Amphitheater.
